One of the major motivating factors in starting Fund for Horses Charities was to give financial assistance to horse rescues and sanctuaries, and it still is.

Taking care of horses, particularly ones who need extra medical attention because of abuse or neglect, is an expensive proposition.

Even the best run rescues and sanctuaries need assistance in meeting their costs. Fundraising is time and resource intensive, and that is how you and I can help.

Funds allocated to the Gimme Shelter program are used to aid the heroes who give rescue, sanctuary and hands on care to displaced and at-risk horses every single day.
